Mission

Northshore Humane Society is one of Louisiana's largest no-kill, non-profit animal rescues and shelters. Northshore Humane Society provides foster and adoption services, animal and community enrichment, and a community veterinary clinic on-site. Since 1953, Northshore Humane Society has been aiding abandoned and abused animals of the gulf coast region, including those affected by natural disasters, rescuing thousands of animals with over 1,000 successful adoptions each year. We rely solely on the support from individuals, organizations, and the funds generated by our veterinary clinic to support our services and programs that profoundly benefit the animals and our community.
