COMMUNITY HOUSING SONOMA COUNTY (CHSC) CREATES HOMES FOR THOSE IN NEED. FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS, CHSC HAS BEEN A LEADER IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SERVICE ENRICHED HOUSING COMMUNITIES. ORIGINALLY FORMED TO ADDRESS RISING HOMELESSNESS WITHIN SONOMA COUNTY, CHSC IS KNOWN FOR HELPING SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES TO BECOME READY TO OWN AND OPERATE THE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROPERTIES CHSC DEVELOPS. SINCE 1994, CHSC HAS HELPED TO DEVELOP 351 UNITS OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING, WITH 189 SET ASIDE FOR SUPPORTIVE HOUSING. WE HAVE HELPED TO LEVERAGE OVER $84 MILLION LEVERAGED IN FINANCING FROM LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL SOURCES. CHSC WORKS COLLABORATIVELY TO INDENTIFY AND RESPOND TO THE CHANGING NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. EACH PROJECT IS UNIQUE, CREATING DIFFERENT TYPES OF RENTAL HOUSING ENVIRONMENTS, SERVING A VARIETY OF PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS USING A WIDE ARRAY OF FINANCING TOOLS.
