NOVA ScriptsCentral, Inc. (NSC) is a nonprofit, collaborative pharmacy, whose mission is to provide life-saving medications and quality pharmaceutical care for the uninsured in Northern Virginia. Our safety-net clinic partners provide the health care, we provide the medication and pharmacist counseling. It's the only one of its kind in the state of Virginia and in the metropolitan region, and is a national model for pharmaceutical care for the uninsured.

Medication Filling: NOVA ScriptsCentral, Inc. provides pharmaceuticals to northern Virginians with limited incomes that are uninsured and in need of maintenance medications. The formulary is approximately 250 medications that are for chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, & cholesterol. Approximately 14,064 prescriptions were filled during 2018; providing 42,192 months of therapy to 1,337 patients. Research: NOVA ScriptsCentral, Inc. participates in research to further define and develop best practices in medication use. The health literacy workshops started in 2017. 672 patients increased their health literacy and learned the value of preventative care during 36 workshops on 13 different topics.
