The mission of the TRC is to build human resiliency by facilitating the resolution of traumatic events and teaching tools to relieve stress. The main services of the agency include client-centered, individual trauma-specific facilitation and psycho-educational groups. Our holistic services include Eastern practices such as breathwork, yoga and meditation. We also provide acupuncture, massage and advocacy as funding permits. We are considered experts in trauma and domestic violence and provide court evaluations and expert testimony for refugees and victims of violence. Community Resiliency programming includes training trainers in the community on simple, but powerful stress relief techniques. School-based programming included individual treatment, art and service projects.

TRAUMA RESOLUTION CENTER (TRC) PROVIDES COUNSELING TO INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE BEEN TRAUMATIZED AS A RESULT OF A CRIME AND OTHER TRAUMATIC EVENTS. TRC IS A MIAMI BASED NON-PROFIT AGENCY THAT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1995 WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE. THE MAIN APPROACH UTILIZED AT THE AGENCY IS TRAUMATIC INCIDENT REDUCTION, WHICH IS A RESEARCH-BASED, EXPOSURE TREATMENT THAT ENABLES A PERSON TO FORM A CONSCIOUS MEMORY OF A TRAUMATIC EVENT WHILE RESOLVING THE EMOTIONAL ASPECTS OF THE EVENT. IN 2018-2019 TRC WAS AWARDED 2019 TOP-RATED NONPROFIT BY GREAT NONPROFITS. TRC SERVED A TOTAL OF 700 CLIENTS AND GREW THE LIST OF COMMUNITY PARTNERS. LIFE- SKILLS SUPPORT GROUPS WERE ADDED THIS YEAR AND THE COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE CLINIC TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE OUR LOW-INCOME CLIENTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONTINUE WITH HOLISTIC SERVICES AFTER THEY COMPLETE THE PROGRAM. TRC HOSTED ITS FIRST HUNGER AND HOMELESS OUTREACH EVENT WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS, INCLUDING COMMISSIONER KEON HARDEMON FROM DISTRICT 5 WHO FUNDED THE VENUE.
