Mission

Broward Housing Solutions (BHS) offers permanent, affordable, and supportive housing for very low-income individuals who have disabilities and Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses. Through partnerships with area mental health providers, BHS also offers case management services to help these individuals maintain stable, affordable housing and, as a result, improved health. To ensure that its housing is truly affordable, BHS charges rent at 30% of each client-tenant’s monthly income, and all clients must have a form of income in order to live in a BHS property. BHS’ Affordable Housing programs address two major barriers to health and well-being for low-income individuals with disabilities and mental illness: stable housing and health management.
