The organization was able to accomplish four major goals during 2018:- Provided Quality Mental Health Screening to the 236 new patients at lowcost. Our new patients underwent our screening-evaluation at our fee of $30which was discounted 60% from the customary community fee of $75, savingthe community approximately $10,620.- Provided Quality Medical Primary Care to over 11,000 painmanagement patient office visits by providing non-narcotic medicationprescriptions to the patients. Our Physician treated the patients with nonnarcotic medications so that they wouldnt have to seek out a separateprimary care physician, saving an estimated $125 per office visit times theestimated 11,000 office visits. Those savings would total to approximately$137,000 by eliminating the need for primary care office visits.- Provided Quality Pain Management Care to New Patients at low cost.Our Board Certified Surgeon Physician treated approximately 317xznew patients at our fee of $200 per office visit, discounted approximately33% from the customary community fee of $340, saving the communityapproximately $33,040.- Provided Quality Pain Management Care to Returning Patients at lowcost. Our Board Certified Surgeon Physician treated our monthly returningpatients for approximately 11,172 office visits during 2018 at our fee of $175per office visit, discounted approximately 34% from the customarycommunity fee of $235 per office visit, saving the community approximately$670,320.- Provided a Website (www.Paragonwellness.org) free to the communitywith medical information.Summary: The discounted savings to the community for ourmedical/mental health programs totaled approximately $534,000 -$850,000. Some patients were treated for less than our standarddiscounted fee or completely free due to their limited income with noinsurance coverage; some were provided with free canes or otherorthotic devices. There was also approximately $4,000 in bad debtwritten off that patients couldnt afford to pay bringing the total savingsto the community at approximately $538,000-$850,000.
