The Rockhouse Foundation Has Been Transforming Learning Environments In The Negril Area Of Jamaica For Over 15 Years. Originally Focused On The Renovation Of Public Primary Schools, The Foundation Broadened Its Focus To Include The Negril Library, And The Past 5 Years Has Been Concentrating On Early Childhood Education.

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED WAGE AND NUTRITIONAL SUBSIDY, ONGOING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS, AS WELL AS IN-KIND AND CASH CONTRIBUTIONS FOR SCHOOL SUPPLIES IN FISCAL YEAR 2016/2017 FOR THE BUNCH OF STARS EARLY CHILDHOOD INSTITUTION. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED ONGOING DAILY MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS, SUBSIDY FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF, AS WELL AS NUTRITIONAL UNDERWRITING FOR THE GARDEN AND FREE BREAKAST DURING FISCAL YEAR 2016/2017 FOR THE LITTLE BAY ALL AGE SCHOOL. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO PROVIDE ITS FULL COMPLIMENT OF SUPPORT, INCLUDING NUTRITION, WAGES, MAINTENANCE, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, AND REPAIRS IN 2016/2017 FOR THE NEGRIL BASIC SCHOOL. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED ONGOING MAINTENANCE AND PERIODIC REPAIRS IN FISCAL YEAR 2016/2017 TO THE NEGRIL PUBLIC LIBRARY. THE SAVANNA-LA-MAR INCLUSIVE INFANT ACADEMY IS EXPECTED TO OPEN IN SEPTEMBER OF 2017 WITH A POPULATION OF 30 THREE-YEAR-OLDS AND EXPECTED GROWTH OVER THE NEXT 3 YEARS TO A MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT OF 100 THREE TO FIVE YEAR OLDS.
