MENTAL HEALTH (ADULT):BLUEGRASS PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF ADULT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES INCLUDING, GENERAL OUTPATIENT, JAIL TRIAGE, TARGETED CASE MANAGEMENT, HOUSING SUPPORT, ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT, PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES, EMERGENCY SERVICES, SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT, AND HOUSING FIRST. PARTNERS FOR CHANGE OUTCOME MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PCOMS) CONTINUES TO BE A TREATMENT APPROACH USED IN ALL OUTPATIENT SERVICES. STAFF DEVELOPMENT HAS FOCUSED ON ENHANCEMENT OF PCOMS, DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY, MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING, PERSON CENTERED PLANNING, COLLABORATIVE DOCUMENTATION, AND ILLNESS MANAGEMENT AND RECOVERY ALL OF WHICH ARE EVIDENCE BASED APPROACHES. COMPREHENSIVE TRAININGS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED TO SUPPORT EACH OF THESE INITIATIVES. THE ORIENTATION TRAINING PROGRAM INCLUDES A COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE OF TRAINING DESIGNED TO ENHANCE STAFF COMPETENCIES IN ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR JOB INCLUDING DELIVERY OF EVIDENCE BASE PRACTICES.MENTAL HEALTH (CHILDREN):THIS YEAR BLUEGRASS CHILDREN'S SERVICES CONTINUED TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO TRADITIONAL FORMS OF SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE REGION IN FORM OF MEDICALLY NECESSARY OUTPATIENT, CASE MANAGEMENT AND PRESCRIBER SERVICES AS HAS HISTORICALLY BEEN THE CASE. BLUEGRASS HAS ALSO CONTINUED SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES IN MANY OF OUR COUNTIES. IN ADDITION, THROUGH MOBILE CRISIS SERVICES, BLUEGRASS HAS BEEN ABLE TO RESPOND PROMPTLY TO THE EMERGENT AND CRISIS NEEDS OF CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, AND FAMILIES. CHILDREN AND FAMILIES HAVE UTILIZED THIS SERVICE AS BOTH A STEP-DOWN TRANSITION FROM HOSPITALIZATION OR PLACEMENT SERVICES AS WELL AS A STEP UP IN SERVICES IF NEEDING A MORE INTENSIVE LEVEL OF CARE, IN EFFORTS TO PREVENT HOSPITALIZATION. BLUEGRASS IS ALSO PROVIDING SERVICES THROUGH START (SOBRIETY TREATMENT AND RECOVERY TEAMS), A GRANT FUNDED PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES (DCBS). THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, BLUEGRASS.ORG PROVIDES A SERVICE COORDINATOR WHO ASSESSES FAMILIES WHO HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO DCBS AND HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY SUBSTANCE MISUSE, DETERMINES SERVICES NEEDED AND MAKES REFERRALS TO THOSE SERVICES. BLUEGRASS HAS CONTINUED TO EXPAND THE HIGH FIDELITY WRAPAROUND. EFFORTS ARE ONGOING TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY AND BLUEGRASS STAFF ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM. BLUEGRASS HAS CONTINUED TO WORK WITH DCBS ON THE SAFESPACE PROJECT. BLUEGRASS COMPLETES CHILD AND ADOLESCENT NEEDS AND STRENGTHS (CANS) ASSESSMENTS ON DCBS-REFERRED CHILDREN. DURING THE LAST YEAR, ALL BLUEGRASS COUNTIES HAVE BECOME PART OF THE PROJECT. BLUEGRASS HAS IDENTIFIED STAFF WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED AND ARE CERTIFIED TO COMPLETE THE CANS ASSESSMENTS ON CHILDREN REFERRED BY DCBS AS PART OF THE PROJECT. BLUEGRASS HAS CONTINUED TO WORK TOWARD DEVELOPING MORE PROGRAMMING THROUGH COMMUNITY SUPPORT ASSOCIATES, WHO SERVE AS ADDITIONAL SUPPORTS TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN NEED OF SPECIFIC SKILL ATTAINMENT OR SUPPORT IN ADDITION TO CLINICAL SERVICES. THE EARLY CHILDHOOD MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST WORKED TIRELESSLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO PROVIDE TRAINING, CONSULTATION, AND TREATMENT TO CHILDREN BIRTH-5. BLUEGRASS ALSO CONTINUED INVOLVEMENT IN GROUPS FOCUSING ON EXPANSION OF SERVICES FOR TRANSITION AGED YOUTH AND FAMILIES. BLUEGRASS HAS IMPLEMENTED FIRST EPISODE PSYCHOSIS (IHOPE) PROGRAMMING. STAFF PROVIDE AN ARRAY OF SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE RECENTLY BEEN IDENTIFIED AS EXPERIENCING PSYCHOSIS, MANY OF WHOM ARE IN THEIR TEENS. BLUEGRASS HAS CONTINUED ITS EFFORTS TO BE MORE TRAUMA INFORMED AND HAS MADE SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS IN THE LAST YEAR. BLUEGRASS CONTINUES TO LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW AND STRENGTHEN SERVICES FOR THE CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITIES.
