Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, Inc.'s retail program helps people with disabilities or other disadvantages obtain and maintain employment at one of its 65 stores throughout Kentucky by providing employment and training opportunities. Over 739 individuals were served and more than $9.2 million was paid in mission-related wages by the retail program. The stores sell a variety of donated merchandise (donated by the general public and businesses) to the community at discounted prices to divert items from local landfills and support Goodwill's mission to put Kentuckians to work. The stores generated funding to support employment counseling, educational programs, and job training services through the Goodwill Works program.
