SINCE 1974, THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF LEE COUNTY HAS WORKED TO PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN TO EXPLORE THEIR INTERESTS, GAIN KNOWLEDGE AND LEARN VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS. WE EXIST TO FULFILL OUR MISSION, TO ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS PRODUCTIVE, CARING, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS. WE BELIEVE ALL KIDS HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL. WE PROVIDE A SAFE, POSITIVE, AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH KIDS AND TEENS CAN LEARN AND GROW. THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF LEE COUNTY SERVES YOUTH AGES 6-18 AND OPERATES OUT OF 5 FACILITIES THAT ARE STAFFED BY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS. WE FOCUS ON 3 PRIORITY OUTCOMES AREAS WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO ENABLE OUR MEMBERS TO BE ACADEMICALLY SUCCESSFUL, DEMONSTRATE GOOD CHARACTER AND CITIZENSHIP AND LIVE HEALTHY LIFESTYLES. COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS ESSENTIAL TO THE CONTINUED SUCCESS OF THE ORGANIZATION. WE HAVE LONG STANDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH PARTNER AGENCIES SUCH AS THE UNITED WAY AND LEE COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, WHICH ENABLE US TO SERVE THE YOUTH OF LEE COUNTY. WE CONTINUE TO DEVELOP NEW RELATIONSHIPS AND EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPAND OUR FOOTPRINT TO SERVE EVEN MORE YOUTH IN THE FUTURE. WE HAVE A STRONG BOARD WHO SUPPORTS THE GROWTH OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE ORGANIZATION ALONG WITH COMMUNITY SUPPORT FROM INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE DONORS. THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF LEE COUNTY OPERATES AFTER SCHOOL, SPRING BREAK AND SUMMER PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON CURRICULUM THAT SUPPORTS EDUCATION, THE ARTS, HEALTH & WELLNESS, CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP, AND SPORTS & RECREATION. DURING THE YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2019, 774 MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN A TOTAL OF 178,908 HOURS OF PROGRAMMING ACROSS OUR 5 LOCATIONS. WE HAD 400 VOLUNTEERS SUPPORT OUR MISSION AND WE WERE ABLE TO SERVE 101,000 MEALS TO FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY.
