Production and presentation of operas in their original languages to the public. Over 9,000 people benefited from the productions held in the 2018/2019 season at BCPA. Studio Artist Program - Founded in 1984, the Studio Artist ('SA') program has gained worldwide recognition as one of the leading operatic training programs in the United States. The SA program is designed for artists who have completed advanced degrees from the top music schools in the country, and have often participated in other yearlong residency programs. The program not only exists to provide the highest caliber training for young opera singers but also serves as an invaluable community liaison; presenting a vast number of outreach and education events throughout Broward County, bringing opera to new and diverse audiences throughout the region.
