Emergency Shelter for Battered Women - This program assists victims of domestic violence and the community in coping with these crimes; to help medical personnel in delivery of health care needed by the victims; to provide counseling toward healing the emotional trauma experienced; to provide a safe environment to victims of domestic violence; and to educate the general public on domestic violence and its prevention. The agency served 324 clients in shelter and 648 clients through outreach. This included counseling, shelter, food, clothing, financial aid, support groups, and legal advocacy.
