Provide Services to Low-Income Families and Individuals in the Pitt, Martin, and Beaufort County Areas That Alleviate the Effects of Poverty and Promote Dignity for This Population by Leveraging Funds to Utilize Local, State, Private and Federal Sources Which Assist These Families in Acquiring Skills, Knowledge and New Opportunities to Achieve Self Sufficiency.

Head Start - Comprehensive Developmental Program for Preschool Children Providing Services Such as Education, Health, Nutrition, Social Issues, and Parent Involvement. Operate Seven Head Start Centers Throughout Martin, Pitt and Beaufort Counties. Approximately 527 Children Are Served Under This Program.
