Cancer Services, Inc., a United Way partner agency, was established in 1955 with a mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with cancer and to provide the gift of life through education. The agency serves Forsyth, Davie, Stokes and Yadkin counties of North Carolina and offers the following free services: medication assistance, home health supplies, wellness groups, Pink Broomstick breast cancer program, educational programs, information and referral, patient advocacy, a telephone peer support program and transportation assistance. It is the only service agency in the Piedmont Triad that addresses these needs for all types of cancer patients. Cancer Services accepts individual contributions, corporate contributions, matching gifts, memorials and honorariums.
