About

We use donations to fuel education, income and health nonprofits in Buncombe County. Local nonprofits complete an application and provide reports on the results of their work. We work to ensure youth have an equal opportunity to reach their full potential and graduate ready for college, career and community. This is the center of a vision for disrupting poverty. We share this vision with 50+ partners from the two school systems, higher ed, nonprofits and others. Community schools anchor support for students, families and communities in new and stronger ways. With our partners, we launched an early warning and response system that monitors the attendance, behavior and course completion of approximately 18,800 students and puts support in place for those that struggle. We respect donor wishes asking us to direct gifts to other 501(c)(3)s.
