TYSA IS A DYNAMIC PARTNERSHIP OF PRIVATE AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS; CITY AND STATE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, PHILANTHROPISTS; PARENTS TEACHERS, AND TEENS - MANY OF WHOM HAVE BEEN WORKING TO COMBAT ALCOHOL AND DRUG MISUSE FOR YEARS. 2) BHIP, THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT (BHIP), WHICH FOCUSES ON RESTRUCTURING THE HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEM BY REINVESTING IN THE MEDICAID PROGRAM. BHIP FOCUSES SPECIFICALLY ON THE MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE INFRASTRUCTURE TO REDUCE UNNECESSARY HOSPITALIZATIONS BY INCREASING ACCESS TO QUALITY BEHAVIORAL HEALH SERVICES ON STATEN ISLAND. 3) RICHMOND COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE (RCDA) HEROINE OVERDOSE PREVENTION EDUCATION (HOPE) PROGRAM IS A CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM DIVERSION PROGRAM TO CONNECT LOW LEVEL OFFENDERS WITH PERSON-CENTERED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SOCIAL SUPPORTS WITH THE GOAL OF REDUCING OPIOID OVERDOSES, IMPROVING HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR THOSE SUFFERING WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE ADDICTION AND REDUCING INVOLVEMENT WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
