About this organization
Mission
Live Arts has been forging theater and community in the Charlottesville area since the theater's first productions in the Old Michie Building in 1990. Now housed in a stunning 22,000 square foot facility, including two theaters, two rehearsal studios, a costume shop, scene shop, library, and public lobby spaces, Live Arts welcomes an average of 150 people every day. We believe that meaningful engagement in the performing arts, as artist, crewmember, audience, or student has a profound influence to transform lives and foster learning and growth.
