Mission

Byte Back’s mission is to close the digital divide by providing historically excluded communities an equitable pathway into the digital economy. We do this through digital advocacy, digital literacy training, and tech certification training.

About

Digital Literacy: Byte Back teaches two computer foundation level courses, helping hundreds of learners gain skills in technology every year. These courses are designed for students with no or minimal computer experience and for students interested in learning Microsoft Office Suite. In 2019, Byte Back had 454 student enrollments in 38 foundation courses. In the class, students learn to use a computer and the Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Classes for all digital literacy courses are offered in English and Spanish and offer the skills needed for an entry-level office position.
