WHILE LEARNING, CHILDREN ENJOY SPORTS, NATURE, ART THERAPY, ROCK CLIMBING, AND SWIMMING. CHILDREN WORK ON SELF-REGULATION AND LEARN HOW TO RECOGNIZE AND MANAGE THEIR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS. THEY LEARN AND PRACTICE NEW COPING AND SELF-REGULATION SKILLS. THERE IS A 2 TO 1 CHILD TO STAFF RATIO WHERE CHILDREN WORK IN SMALL GROUPS LED BY HIGHLY TRAINED PROFESSIONALS FROM THE FIELDS OF SPECIAL EDUCATION, PSYCHOLOGY, COUNSELING AND PSYCHIATRY. CHILDREN WORK WITH STAFF SETTING DAILY AND WEEKLY BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT GOALS WHILE FORGING FRIENDSHIPS AND HAVING SUMMER FUN. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HAS A COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (C-I-T) PROGRAM FORMER CAMPERS GET 1:1 COACHING AND LEARN JOB SKILLS THAT PREPARE THEM FOR FUTURE EMPLOYMENT.
