Mission

To promote the development of young children with special needs and/or high risk factors.

About

World of Care is the only childcare center in central Maryland designed to care for children under the age of five whose medical needs require daily nursing interventions. The program is staffed by nurses, social workers, therapists, and highly trained childcare workers. Services are also provided to children with developmental disabilities who require multiple therapies (physical, occupational, or speech/language). Services are provided in a nurturing, safe environment and include family counseling, collaboration with other healthcare providers and help with transition to school. This program provides economic benefits to both families (who can continue to work, earn wages that contribute to the tax base and maintain employee health benefits) and the community by contributing taxes that fund community services and reducing government costs as many of the families don't need to rely on medical assistance to pay for their children's costly medical care.
