MedStar Harbors largest program is access to and the provision of acute hospital services to the communities of southern Baltimore City, southwestern Baltimore County and northern Anne Arundel County, Maryland and the surrounding areas. In addition to the program service expenses listed above, MedStar Harbor incurred $41.6M of management and general expenses in providing services to its communities. Collaboration with the National Institute on Aging (one of the National Institutes of Health) makes MedStar Harbor the home of the Baltimore Longitudinal Study on Aging, the nations longest running study of aging and conditions affecting the elderly.
