SisterSong’s mission is to amplify and strengthen the collective voices of indigenous women and women of color to achieve Reproductive Justice (RJ) by eradicating reproductive oppression and securing human rights. RJ is the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, choose when and how to have children or not, and parent in safety with adequate resources. RJ centers the needs and leadership of the most marginalized and the intersections of oppressions. The first RJ organization founded to build the movement, SisterSong includes and represents Indigenous, African American, Asian and Pacific Islander, Arab and Middle Eastern, Latinx, and queer women and trans people. A top RJ thought leader, trainer, organizer, and collaboration facilitator, our focus is Southern and national.

SISTERSONG'S LEADERSHIP & TRAINING TEAM IS AN INTERGENERATIONAL, MULTI-RACIAL & CULTURAL TEAM THAT IS GROUNDED IN THE HUMAN RIGHTS FRAMEWORK, FEMINIST THEORY, AND INTERSECTIONAL MOVEMENT BUILDING STRATEGIES. THIS TEAM TRAVELS THE NATION CONSTANTLY TO GIVE RJ SPEECHES, PRESENTATIONS, WORKSHOPS, AND IN-DEPTH TRAININGS TAILORED TO ANY AUDIENCE. WE WORK TO HELP ADVOCATES MOVE FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE AND TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER. WE ALSO WORK TO SHOW (1) HOW ONE CAN VIEW ANY SOCIAL JUSTICE ISSUE THROUGH AN RJ LENS ADDRESSING INTERSECTING OPPRESSIONS IN PEOPLE'S LIVES (2) HOW TO ORGANIZE EFFECTIVELY, AND MORE. OFFERINGS RANGE FROM SHORT SPEECHES TO TRAININGS OF 2 DAYS OR LONGER. WHETHER NEW OR EXPERIENCED WITH RJ, AUDIENCES WILL LEAVE INSPIRED AND PREPARED TO BRING GREATER JUSTICE TO THE WORLD BY BRINGING RJ DEEPER INTO YOUR LIFE AND WORK AND TO ELIMINATE STIGMA COMMONLY ASSOCIATED WITH SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH.OUR RJ TRAING PROGRAM TRAINS THOUSANDS OF ACTIVISTS AND GRASSROOTS LEADERS IN THE RJ FRAMEWORK ACROSS THE NATION. OUR NATIONAL LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX CONFERENCE SPOTLIGHTS THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN SEX, SEXUALITY, AND THE REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS OF OUR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES. THE RJ LEADERSHIP SUMMIT ENABLES LEADERS OF COLOR FROM NEARLY ALL RJ ORGANIZATIONS IN THE US TO SHARE RESOURCES AND STRATEGIES, BUILD COLLABORATIONS, AND DEVELOP MOVEMENT-WIDE PRIORITIES SO THAT WE CAN ADVANCE FARTHER WITH OUR COLLECTIVE RESISTANCE. IN AN EFFORT TO BRING THE RJ FRAMEWORK TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE, SISTERSONG ALSO, PARTNERS WITH LARGE MAINSTREAM GROUPS INTERESTED IN INFUSING RJ INTO THEIR POLICIES AND PRACTICES, AND ENGAGING THEIR MEMBERSHIPS IN RJ ACTIVISM.
