COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - THIS PROGRAM ENCOMPASSES VARIOUS COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS THAT HELP ENHANCE AND SUPPORT THE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES SERVED BY CLAYMONT COMMUNITY CENTER. WE PROVIDE A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT FACILITATES GROWTH, FAMILY ENRICHMENT, CIVIC DEVELOPMENT, AND COMMUNITY WELL-BEING, THUS STIMULATING A HIGHER LEVEL OF QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE WE SERVE. CCC HOUSES ONE OF THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE GROUPS OF SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS SERVING ANY COMMUNITY IN THE STATE LOCATED IN ONE BUILDING. THE CENTER PARTICIPATES IN COMMUNITY PLANNING AND SERVICE COORDINATION WITH OTHER AGENCIES AND COMMUNITY GROUPS TO RESPOND TO ON- GOING AND EMERGING HUMAN AND SOCIAL NEEDS. IN SUPPORT OF ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES, CCC MANAGES THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS, PROVIDES FACILITY SUPPORT, MEETING ROOMS, UTILITIES, RECEPTION AND MAIL SERVICES, INTERNET ACCESS, 3 COMMERCIAL KITCHENS, 2 GYMNASIUMS, A TRACK, BASEBALL AND FOOTBALL FIELDS, A PLAYGROUND, AND DOG PARK. IN 2018, WE PARTNERED WITH SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS TO OFFER JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS TO LOW INCOME OR UNEMPLOYED CITIZENS, ADULT IMMIGRANTS AND RECENT GED GRADUATES THROUGHOUT THE REGION.
