Accomplishments
- Advocacy: we work to build the future of public transportation in san francisco by engaging transit riders in advocacy efforts to improve the quality of transit. this includes attending public meetings, working with government officials, hosting forums, and educating every day riders on how to be a transit advocate. during 2018, we focused on several high-profile projects that will drastically improve transit for thousands of san franciscans. this includes sucessfully advocating for the implementation of a 2-hour time transfer on muni, serving as a key organization in the safe routes to transit movement in san francisco, advocating for the excelsior safety project, and advocating for red transit only lanes and rapid service on geary. we hosted a successful transit week, engaging thousands of daily transit riders to promote a positive culture on transit, strenghtened our relationship with neighborhood groups and transporation allies , and developed and conducted ride audits on geary blvd and the 27 bryant line to raise the voice of underrepreesented transit riders.
