Mission

Our mission is to provide resources and support for families and friends caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia.

About

Rendering care for loved ones with dementia can be a long, exhausting and ambiguous journey with many sorrows and challenges. The almost universal absence of cohesive and comprehensive information, support and services adds frustration to an already burdened population of novice caregivers. The central goal of the Lynden Legacy Foundation is to provide education, information, support and other important and necessary resources to this vast group of family and friends suddenly thrown into the role of caregiver. This will be accomplished through an interwoven combination of websites, podcasts, seminars, access to knowledgeable and experienced professionals and instructional multimedia. Perhaps of greatest value will be a Caregivers Network (currently Lynette’s List) where families can find temporary help from a pool of trained professionals to provide respite, advocacy, companionship and other assistance. Lynden Legacy will be a central clearing house for important knowledge and assistance and act as a trusted bridge between caregivers and available resources.
