IN 2019, AIM'S RESEARCH PROGRAMS INCLUDE FUNDING A RESEARCH STUDY WITH AT-RISK YOUTH FOR PSYCHOSIS; A SECOND YEAR POST-DOCTORATE FELLOWSHIP EXAMINING EMOTIONAL AND COGNITIVE PATHWAYS TO SEVERE MENTAL ILLNESS AND DEVELOPING GROUP SKILLS TREATMENT; A SECOND-YEAR POST-DOCTORATE FELLOWSHIP EVALUATING ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT STRATEGIES FOR YOUTH WITH SEVERE IRRITABILITY DISORDERS; AND A ONE-YEAR POST-DOCTORAL STUDY HELPING LATINX AND AFRICAN-AMERICAN TEENS WITH EATING DISORDERS.AIMS AWARENESS PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE ANNUAL YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WALK & RALLY IN PACIFIC GROVE, CA, AND THE THIRD YEAR OF AIMS EDUCATION/AWARENESS PROGRAMS INCLUDING THE ANNUAL AIM FOR AWARENESS AD CONTEST OPEN TO ALL MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS NATION-WIDE. AIM IS BUILDING A MOVEMENT DEVOTED TO YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH AND FUNDS CLINICAL RESEARCH TO IDENTIFY BETTER TREATMENTS AND CURES FOR VIRTUALLY EVERY KIND OF YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGE*.
