Global Rights for Women envisions a world where women’s human rights to equality and freedom from violence are fully realized. We collaborate with partners around the world to promote women’s human rights to equality and freedom from violence through legal reform and systems change. - We influence law, policy and practice on women’s human rights and violence against women and girls through speaking, writing, training and other outreach. - We assist in writing laws on violence against women. - We establish partnerships locally and internationally with NGO’s, academic institutions, government agencies and intergovernmental organizations that share our goals. - We respond to specific requests from partners around the world where reforms on women’s human rights and violence against women are new for information, research and consultation. - We develop and present sustainable training initiatives on violence against women for legal professionals, service providers and advocates. The general goal of these trainings is to increase the capacity of participants to respond effectively to cases of violence against women, prioritizing victim safety and offender accountability. - We work with partners to monitor the implementation of law, policy and practice on violence against women.

IN 2019, GLOBAL RIGHTS FOR WOMEN TRAVELED TO MOROCCO, MONGOLIA, VANCOUVER, MOLDOVA, AUSTRALIA, TAIWAN, GEORGIA, FIJI, GUATEMALA, ETHIOPIA, GABON, AND COMPLETED HOME BASED WORK FOR ARMENIA TO BUILD THE CAPACITY OF ADVOCATES AND LEGAL PROFESSIONALS TO EVALUATE THE LEGAL SYSTEM'S RESPONSE TO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN, IDENTIFY BEST PRACTICES, AND PUSH FOR REFORMS. WE WORKED WITH THE UNITED NATIONS TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR COORDINATING THE RESPONSE TO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN THAT WILL HAVE A GLOBAL OUTREACH AND AFFECT WOMEN ALL OVER THE WORLD, AND LAID THE FOUNDATION FOR NEW GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS. GRW ALSO ORGANIZED EVENTS LOCALLY AND PUBLISHED PIECES AS A THOUGHT LEADER ON GLOBAL WOMEN'S ISSUES. WE WROTE THE PAPER, TIME FOR ACTION TO PROMOTE A NEW INTERNATIONAL TREATY ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN TO BE PUBLISHED IN MARCH 2020. ADDITIONALLY, WE WORKED WITH UN WOMEN TO WRITE AND PUBLISH A REVIEW ON VAWG IN CENTRAL ASIA AND EASTERN EUROPE SINCE THE 1995 UNITED NATIONS FOURTH WORLD CONFERENCE ON WOMEN IN BEIJING CHINA. THROUGH CONSULTATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING, GRW WORKED WITH NGO'S IN ARMENIA TO IMPROVE SHELTER OPERATIONS.
