The mission of the CATCH Global Foundation is to launch kids toward healthier lifestyles by linking underserved schools and all communities to evidence-based resources needed to create and sustain healthy change for future generations. The founding partners of the CATCH Global Foundation are MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, the RGK Foundation and UTHealth.
About
Coordinated School Health & Wellness. In 2018, CATCH Global Foundation continued this program's focus on low-income urban communities. Major projects included ongoing work with Jefferson Parish schools in Louisiana (funded by a grant from Baptist Community Ministries), launch of projects in Indianapolis and Los Angeles (funded by Anthem Blue Cross Foundation), and self-funded projects in Lansing, Michigan and New York City. We also added most of the CATCH K-8 Physical Education curriculum to our CATCH.org portal to increase accessibility to teachers. Finally, CATCH Global Foundation provided support, evaluation assistance and technical assistance to schools around the country who were expanding or sustaining the CATCH Coordinated School Health program. In total CATCH's programs now reach approximately 2.6 million school-age children each year in over 12,500 schools and educational sites.
