KACF-SF strives to build a vibrant, healthy and empowered Korean American community in the Bay Area.
About
KACF-SF supports the vulnerable and underserved in the Bay Areas Korean American community to lead safe and healthy lives. The Foundation pursues this goal by providing grants and capacity-building assistance to nonprofit organizations addressing the vital needs of our community. The Foundation also works to raise awareness of such needs and serves as a convener of organizations and facilitator of community dialogue and collaboration. In 2018, KACF-SF provided support to 11 non-profit organizations through community grants, technical assistance grants, capacity-building support, and event sponsorships. Funding benefited Korean American communities in 6 Bay Area counties and Sacramento. Targeted beneficiaries include limited English-proficient immigrants, low-income families and seniors, victims of domestic violence, Alzheimer's patients & their families, and disadvantaged youth. More than 270 individual donors and 28 corporate sponsors have contributed to Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco.
