Our vision is simple: Idea School students grow to take charge of their learning and therefore their lives, both in and out of school.

During the 2018 - 19 school year, we provided an experiential, engaging education for a total of 60 students, K-8. Specifically, we designed a curriculum and pedagogy built upon students' intrinsic motivation to learn and make real-world connections. Teacher-directed and student-directed projects formed the basis for student work, typically with a real-world audience in mind. Beyond just the '3 R's', our students are building their 21st century skills and strong habits of mind: self-awareness; empathy and kindness; creativity and innovation; curiosity; confidence; responsibility; critical thinking; problem solving; collaboration; perseverance; listening and understanding. Idea School students grow to take charge of their learning and therefore their lives, both in and out of school.
