Mission

Our mission is to bring the supplies in the storehouses to the people in need and to teach them how to stand on their own.

About

During the year, 2018, we received 2,013,656 pounds of fresh, frozen, and canned and packaged food. Of that, 1343218 pounds was donated to other not for profit agencies to distribute and the balance went through our special program with only an administration fee. Our main facility functions as both a food bank and a food pantry. We rescue food that would otherwise be discarded and distribute it where it is needed. We have agreements with grocery chains and wholesale food distributors to pick up their surplus on fixed schedules. The daily operation consists of sourcing and gathering food, sorting and cataloging the food, then warehousing the inventory to be distributed to our partner agencies throughout South Florida. A few times each week we distribute food from the warehouse to local people in need. We also supply other food pantries, churches, and soup kitchens on an as needed basis.
