About
In the last fiscal year, TPF continued the process of revising the community paramedic curriculum to version 4 from version 3. This involves bringing together paramedic educators from several states to update existing content and create new content, and then convening a content review committee of several physicians and educator PhDs before releasing version 4. Version 4 of the curriculum will be released in FY 2020. In the last fiscal year, TPF coordinated and supported the 16th International Roundtable on Community Paramedicine meeting in Prince Edward Island, Canada. The meeting attracted over 80 global participants. In the last year, TPF received new contracts for multi-year periods to support the states of Wyoming, Nebraska and Ohio in assessing rural EMS systems and critical access hospitals, and for surveying personnel that did not renew their paramedic licenses. In the last year, TPF expanded from an 18-month to 30-month process with the state of Wyoming to establish two additional community paramedicine programs.
