The Georgia Trauma Foundation is the only independently funded, non-affiliated trauma foundation focused on conducting vital research to drive trauma education and prevention. The Georgia Trauma Foundation strives to foster meaningful change in the way trauma care is delivered in Georgia through its research efforts and funding of various research projects through the recently created trauma research grant. The Georgia Trauma Foundation is also committed to supporting trauma centers and Georgia communities by providing the most current and effective messages in preventing injuries and trauma. Current injury prevention campaigns include the Stop the Bleed campaign, and initiatives during Fall Prevention Awareness Week and Trauma Awareness Month in May. Additionally, the Georgia Trauma Foundation is dedicated to providing the most advanced continuing medical education in the field of trauma throughout Georgia and offers numerous courses throughout the year.
