Visible Men Academy (VMA) is an all-boys tuition free K-5 public charter school in Bradenton, Florida. The mission of Visible Men Academy is to provide boys with outstanding academic, character, and social education in a nurturing school environment. The purpose is to deliver a high-quality educational experience that meets the specific needs of at-risk elementary and middle school aged boys through the collaborative efforts of administrators, teachers, parents, the broader community, and the students themselves. The VMA vision is to lead boys toward a realization of their innate strong character – boys who are family orientated, community conscious, and globally aware. Through a firm foundation of intellectual and academic diligence, VMA students will be equipped to meet and exceed the expectations of challenging high school environments and will be eager and determined to pursue college.VMA is entering into it's sixth year of operations in 2018-2019. In the 2018-2019 school year,  VMA will serve approximately 126 boys Kindergarten to fifth grade. VMA is a Title 1 school with 99% of the students qualify for Free and Reduced meal program living at or below the poverty line. VMA uses a strengths based Two Generation Whole Child and Family community school model to serve our students and families. This innovative  2Gen model ensures that both children and families receive support in addressing their social, emotional and resource needs and gain access to opportunities to support their future goals.
