Misinformation work (Misinfocon/Credcon/Credo): Hacks/Hackers is one of the leading conveners around misinformation work in the world - cofounding the credibility coalition, Misinfocon and Credcon, all interdisciplinary activities that draw together a worldwide network to combat misinformation both physically and virtually. Hacks/Hackers and the credibility coalition have regularly held 150-person Credcon and Misinfocon events in cities around the world, including London; Kyiv; Austin, Texas; Washington, D.C.; Cambridge; and Scotland. Sponsors and partners have included Facebook, Mozilla, the Knight Foundation, IREX, Craig Newmark, the JSK Fellowship at Stanford, and the Nieman Foundation.
