Mission

Tucson's January 8th Memorial Foundation was established to develop a memorial to remember the tragic shooting that occurred at Congresswoman Gifford's "Congress on Your Corner" event in Tucson, Arizona on January 8, 2011. The completed memorial will honor those who were killed or injured that day, commemorate the extraordinary community response to the tragedy, and assure that future generations understand the events that unfolded and the significant role of the democratic process that was at the heart of that day's "Congress on Your Corner".
