In 2018 Storefront for Community Design engaged 45 volunteers to provide free and low cost design assistance, design education, and community engagement to 56 individuals, nonprofit organizations, and businesses in the City of Richmond. We also orked with 37 students through mOb studio, our VCUarts partnership, and sourced 22 projects for two semesters. Through this collaboration, students directly see the impact of creating design deliverables deliverables for nonprofit, small business and resident clients around the Richmond region and are introduced to the processes of city government, planning, and design. 71 of those youth actually engaged in programming including after school programming We provided Community Engagement to 78 individuals, nonprofit organizations, and businesses through the Manchester Alliance Neighborhood Visioning workshops and the annual Golden Hammer Awards that recognize professionals working in neighborhood revitalization. Through the Six Pints Innovation Center, we had 125 additional youth ages ranging from 13-24 register for programming and were provided with resources upon registering. 71 of those youth actually engaged in programming including after school programming and connections to resources to help them academically and in the workforce.
