About

CARRE Program Since late 2016, we have been undergirding The Sandbox to build a process and a structure for our CARRE Program. CARRE is the umbrella from which we serve our families and from which all services are provided. Since CARRE means different services for different families, we aim to develop community partnerships and relationships whereby members of those organizations can assist us in serving our families. Through our partnerships, fundraising events and outreach we have reached the following family counts in the CARRE program Also, within the CARRE program we host events for families such as our annual red carpet style prom which allows the families to forget about the daily rigors of their childs diagnosis. The events we either hosted or co-hosted in 2018 include the following: Cereal With CC; Golf For CARRE; Meet And Greet For Prom; Try On Day; Operation Dress; An Evening Of Believing Prom; 4 Family Events (1 per quarter); Small events where we gather for food, fellowship and fun; Who Is Your Hero Race; HopeFULL Holidays. All of these events were produced with 1 full time volunteer serving as our CARRE Manager, 1 part time volunteer- donor development specialist, an Operations Manager and an Executive Director. We identified the need to grow our staffing if we are to expand the services we provide families and extend the next generation of our CARRE program. Volunteers hours valued at $179,744 worked directly on the CARRE program and related events and services in 2018.
