Mission

Support Missouri's caring communities initiative.

About

Caring communities is a 'partnership' that enables community and school leaders to define their own priorities and agendas, based on each community's needs, resources, and visions. The state helps by providing financial and technical assistance and by removing bureaucratic barriers. Every caring community's site focuses on six core results developed by the state; they are 1) parents working, 2) healthy children and families, 3) children safe in their families and families safe in their communities, 4) children prepared to enter school, 5) children and youth succeeding in school, 6) youth ready to enter productive adulthood. St. Francois caring communities partnership has conducted a needs and assessment survey to determine needs in the community and are successfully meeting the objectives of the state and will continue to do so. Caring communities is a long term investment strategy to invest in the education, health, security, stability and productivity of children, families, school and communities throughout Missouri.
