Exhibition programs: The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (CAM), a non-collecting institution, is internationally recognized for exhibitions of the most provocative, insightful, and relevant contemporary art being made today. During fiscal year 2019 (the 2018-2019 season), CAM presented sixteen exhibitions featuring prescient and seminal work by emerging and established artists, ranging from painting and sculpture to textiles and video, with three site-specific installations that transformed the building's facade and courtyard. Alongside its exhibitions, CAM publishes scholarly catalogs; in fiscal year 2019, titles included Amy Sherald, Sanford Biggers, and the upcoming Paul Mpagi Sepuya and Christine Corday: Relateive Points. In total, the museum exhibited sixteen artists, highlighted the work of more than 150 local artists through its annual open studios STL program, and served 37,447 visitors on-site and 201,738 visitors online.
