Springfield Little Theatre is a volunteer-driven organization, energized by the highest artistic ideals that strive to entertain, educate and involve the community in live productions, and in the preservation of the historic Landers Theatre.
About
Springfield Little Theatre (SLT) presents nine live productions each season offering a wide range of quality theatrical entertainment as well as a range of volunteer opportunities to regional residents. Each season includes three family series shows which are designed to welcome young performers and their friends and families to the theatre. Expenses include royalties, building expenses, set construction, and various other production expenses. SLT offers a comprehensive educational program including acting, dancing, singing, costuming, storytelling, etc. Classes are available for ages 4 and older. SLT sponsors 7 pre-professional youth groups. These troupes are given intensive training in all areas of theatrical performance arts and participate in the community at schools, residential facilities, and community events. SLT offers scholarships for those unable to pay for the educational classes or troupes.
