About this organization
Mission
The Cedar Valley Humane Society is dedicated to building healthy relationships between people and animals, and eliminating cruelty, abuse, and overpopulation of animals through education, adoption services, and inspiring compassion for all living things
About
During 2018, the organization served 2,066 animals through adoption services, return to owner services, and breed rescues. Adoption programs include cat companions for seniors, silver paws club, and lonely hearts club. The adoption programs offer animals at reduced adoption fees to encourage adoptions. Volunteer efforts are coordinated by community program managers, who are increasing our presence in the community at a grassroots level. Off-site adoptions have increased due to our expanded presence. Processes have been streamlined with partner organizations so that adoptions can be performed off-site where the animals are housed.
