Mission

To engage individuals and communities in innovative strategies that promote equality, repair harm, and prevent violence against women and children.

About

Making equal genders awesome (MEGA) encourages healthy masculinity at early ages through social-emotional learning, race and gender equity curricula, and nonviolent conflict resolution targeted towards 4th - 6th grade boys. MEGA survey data suggests that boys participating in the program have a deeper understanding of their peers' emotions across the gender spectrum, and boys have demonstrated this understanding within and outside of program. 100% of participants surveyed in 2019 agreed that 'girls deserve the same respect as boys.' These results provide evidence that the program is developing a stronger understanding of equity amongst young boys.
