Our mission is to help people with serious mental illnesses avoid crisis, achieve stability, and pursue active, fulfilling lives based on their individual abilities. We do this through a work- and relationship-oriented approach that empowers each person to take control of his or her recovery. Vail Place follows the internationally-replicated Clubhouse Model, which is based on a holistic approach to recovery; respects the dignity of each individual; and engages each person to actively manage and take control of their recovery.

THE CLUBHOUSE MODEL PROVIDES A WHOLE-PERSON APPROACH TO MENTAL HEALTH RECOVERY THAT HAS BEEN AT THE FOREFRONT OF PROMOTING INTEGRATED HEALTH CARE FOR PEOPLE WITH SERIOUS AND PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESSES.2018 PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 1) CONTINUED THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW PROGRAMS, VAIL CARE AND VAIL CONNECT 2) EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS EXPANDED TO INCLUDE NEW PARTNERS, LIKE TJ MAXX AND CENTER DRUG. WE RECEIVED SIGNIFICANT MEDIA ATTENTION FOR HELPING PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL EMPLOYMENT, PROVING ONCE AGAIN THAT ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS CAN MAKE PRODUCTIVE CONTRIBUTIONS TO EMPLOYERS AND THEIR COMMUNITIES. 3) NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH NORTH MEMORIAL CONTINUED TO IMPACT OVER 300 PEOPLE, DECREASING HOSPITAL READMISSIONS BY AN AVERAGE OF 84%. 4) CONTINUED FOCUS ON COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIES BROADENED THE OVERALL REACH OF OUR MESSAGE, ATTRACTING THE ATTENTION OF NEW SUPPORTERS AND DEEPENING THE COMMITMENT OF EXISTING DONORS, VOLUNTEERS AND OTHER PARTNERS.
