LASNEM HAS FIVE OFFICES: DULUTH, PINE CITY, BRAINERD, GRAND RAPIDS AND VIRGINIA. OUR FIRM SERVICES THE NORTHEAST ELEVEN COUNTIES IN MINNESOTA, STRETCHING FROM PINE AND KANABEC COUNTIES, NORTH TO AITKIN, PART OF CASS, CROW WING, ITASCA, AND KOOCHICHING, AND EAST TO BORDER OF THE STATE THROUGH CARLTON, ST. IN 2018, THE LEGAL AID STAFF SERVED 5,682 PEOPLE IN DIRECT CASE LEGAL SERVICES. LEGAL SERVICES PERFORMED PROTECTED 634,368 IN ASSETS, AND RECOVERED 662,064 IN ASSETS FOR OUR CLIENTS. OUR ATTORNEYS REGULARLY PERFORM OUTREACH AND CLINICS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THEIR LEGAL RIGHTS, AND WE ENGAGED WITH MORE THAN 1,400 INDIVIDUALS DURING THIS PROGRAMMING. IN 2018, NEARLY 40% OF OUR CASES CLOSED HELPED INDIVIDUALS WITH FAMILY LAW MATTERS, AND ANOTHER 40% OF OUR CASES CLOSED HELPED INDIVIDUALS WITH HOUSING MATTERS. LEGAL AID HAS PROJECT RESOURCES FOR HOUSING QUALITY, COORDINATED ENTRY FOR HOMELESSNESS, AS WELL AS SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS FOR OLDER ADULTS AND NATIVE AMERICANS.
