Our operation of a county fair gives rural youth an opportunity to display their achievements in a receptive setting. The fair also gives rural residents in general a venue to measure their progress in agricultureal and rural activities against other residents. It gives county residents and others a place to see agriculture and rural living at its best. Our county fair allowed 280 4H youth to gain evaluation of their projects and to participate in friendly competition. It also allowed 40 FFA members this opportunity. I nour competitions open to all ages, more than 430 participated. Our fair was visited by over 15,000 who came to see the exhibits and displays.
