The protection and propagation of fish and wildlife, both game and non-game species, and the promotion of public education and plans to restore and conserve Dane County's natural resources, and to increase opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Support federal grassland preservation in conjunction with state and local resources and groups. Provided financial support to Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for a summer intern to help maintain habitat in Buena Vista Wildlife Area. Provided funds to support Midwest Outdoor Heritage Education Expo, an educational program for middle school students and teachers on conservation and various outdoor skills. Provided financial support to hunter safety education program. 222 students successfully completed the course. Provided funds to the Dane County Parks Endowment Fund, a fund used to improve country parks for public use and enjoyment. Raised pheasants for release in public areas.
