The food recovery program began in 2000 to safely recover donated food for free distribution to area meal sites, food pantries and youth programs. We are the hub for local food donations and serve over 90 programs in La Crosse, Monroe, Trempeleau and Vernon counties in Wisconsin, and Houston and Winona counties in Minnesota. We are La Crosse's only free and local food bank.
