The program receives donated food from grocery stores, restaurants, vending machine companies and food drives organized by community organizations and provides education to its clients. In addition, the program utilized 497,958 of its gross revenues to purchase additional food. All food donated to or acquired by the food program is distributed to clients who have qualified for the program through careful screening which has established that their income is below the federal poverty level. The food program distributes food daily between 9:30a.m. and 11:30a.m. Monday through Friday and on Monday evenings from 6:30p.m. to 7:30p.m. The number of client families served per day varies, approximately 150 to 200. Approximately 2,818 households were served during 2018. The program has eight part-time paid employees. The program has approximately 550 regular volunteers from throughout the area who serve as drivers, sorters, distributors, interviewers, record keepers, supervisors, and directors. It takes 35 to 40 volunteers to run the program every day. A board of directors, consisting of volunteers plus seven of the paid employees, oversee the program.
