During the 2018-2019 school year, 18 new YHSC members were trained, with a total membership of 39. New YHSC members spent 5 hours each in training and all members spent 109.5 total hours volunteering. Five college students trained eight peer health educators at Pulaski High School on diabetes prevention & awareness topics. The peer health educators, led by the college student mentors, trained 40 other high school students in nutrition with food tasting. Seven college students facilitated health career workshops for 600 (duplicated number) high school and middle school students.
